“Somewhat odd I suppose,” she said softly as she cut a piece of cake again. “I just don’t know anyone with a vineyard as their backyard,” she shrugged her shoulders and pulled the chocolate cake from the fork. It tasted amazing and Susan swore it was getting better with each bite. She would have to thank the house elves for this one.
When his tone and look gave of the impression of a joke she raised her eyebrow. Was he actually joking? Was that even possible? Man had things actually been like this for the project it would have been a lot better, but she would never admit this out loud of course because she was sure it would ruin the mood. Ruining this did not seem like a good idea because Susan was enjoying getting along with Theodore for once.
“It is delicious,” she said as she took another bite of her food. She placed her plate down again and picked up her glass again. She took another sip and enjoyed the flavours as they mixed in her mouth. It was interesting, she had never tried champagne before and now she was question how she had not.
“Oh you are staying here?” She stopped herself from inviting him to her place because that was not exactly the relationship they had. “I am going home, spending time with mum and dad and my last remaining relatives.” Susan didn’t like to dwell on the people lost in battle. “I am really looking forward to that actually.”
