Neville had to use every ounce of control he had to keep from literally running up to his bedroom, but holding onto Linda's hand kept him from sprinting off too quickly. His house almost seemed too big, like there were too many stairs, too many doors that weren't his. It had never seemed this big before, but maybe it just seemed this way because he was finally with Linda, and when he was with her, nothing else around him matter. His entire house could have lost all it's walls and crumpled to the ground, but he wouldn't have noticed as long as his hand was still securely pressed against Linda's warm one.
"It's been pretty quiet around here, except for whenever my Gran and her friends play one of their wonky games I don't understand. Then they can get pretty loud. Is it quiet by you?" he asked curiously, giving her hand a squeeze as he made his way up the stairs and down the wide hallway to his bedroom, which was the open door near the end. Once he had stepped inside and gently pulled Linda with him, he closed the door and clearly his throat softly, giving her a lopsided smile. "And this...is Neville Longbottom's bedroom. Nothing special, really."
