Kiernan looked at the parchment in Louis's hand, then up at the boy as he took it, raising an eyebrow. "You're applying to be my assistant?"
He walked over to his chair, taking a seat and looking through the application. "I was under the impression that I was too boring to interest you," he said, flipping through it and then looking up at Louis. "I have a few Ravenclaws who've expressed interest in the position as well. Why do you want it?"
