Kiernan blinked at Louis for a moment, then laughed. "Do I come off as gay?" he asked. "Is it the hair? She didn't catch me with anyone and she knew I liked men as well as women when we got married."
He looked down at the tests he wasn't marking, then opened his desk drawer and dug for a moment before he found a picture of his ex and daughter, smiling and waving at the camera. "That's them. She chose Velma's name, not me. I wouldn't saddle a child with the name Velma Viiperi."
