Xavier smiled down at Caspar, wrapping his arms around the other boy. "I'm fine with that," he said, kissing his temple. "More than fine."
He pulled Caspar closer, petting at his hair. "Do you want to talk about your day?" he asked. "Or how you're feeling? Things are probably pretty hard right now. I know you really cared about him."
