"Why?" Xavier asked, laughing and picking up Marigold's books so he could help her get away from the other boy. "Because he's hot and you kissed him?"
Charlotte grinned at Marigold, poking her side. "He's really cute," she said. "And he's looking at you. I guess you did kiss him. I'd be looking too."
