Walden wrapped his arms around Pyxis, smiling and petting at her hair. He didn't want to think about what happened next yet. He just wanted to enjoy having Pyxis there, in his bed, cuddled up against him.
He brushed their lips together and then kissed her forehead. "What time do you have to get up for work in the morning?" Walden asked, looking down at Pyxis and smiling. "I'll make sure I have breakfast ready for you."
