"I know," Draco said. "I wouldn't ask you to wait forever. Just... maybe a little bit longer." He stepped close to Charlie again, leaning up and kissing him softly, fingers brushing through the hair at the nape of his neck. "How's your new job at the reserve? Are you glad to be back?"
"Ruin my life?" Walden frowned a little. "Pyxis, this wouldn't ruin my life. I'd like being a father. And... I hope you would at least give me a chance at being with you, after I got you in the position. But I know your career is important to you as well and I wouldn't want to ruin that."
