"I'm the one who got you pregnant in the first place," Walden pointed out, shaking his head. "I should be taking care of you and making sure you get what you want. It's my job until you go back to work, and then my job is the baby."
He came back to the couch, sitting next to her and giving her a concerned look. "Pains?" he repeated. "What kind of pains?"
