Teddy didn't understand why Victoire wanted to give Scorpius babies but he didn't stand a chance with her. It definitely wasn't fair. "Okay," he said, shrugging and trying not to be grumpy. "You can surprise him with it, I guess. See how he feels."
Xavier snorted. "The Caspar kid started crying when I was talking to him, and then I told Albus that I didn't think Scorpius would fancy Caspar and he got mad at me. I don't get it."
Scorpius had told Albus he'd be right back, and he wanted to go rescue Victoire from Teddy being overly-affectionate with her. It was his birthday. You were supposed to get to do what you wanted on your birthday. But Caspar was a guest and no one else was coming out to keep him company. "Let's go to the kitchen and wait, then," he said, leading the way. "We can have scones and tea."
