Xavier checked his hair in the window of a shop they were walking by, then looked down at his cousin. He didn't know how he'd turned out the tallest of all three of them so far, but he wasn't going to complain. Brutus would be the worst if he got bigger than him veritcally as well as horizontally. "I can't believe you marred your head with that thing," he said, looking at Brutus's mohawk again. "Aren't you cold? You should get a hat. Or maybe grow your hair back. Mari's supposed to be meeting us for lunch at the pub."
Charlotte didn't really care that she was barging in on Marigold's family thing. It wasn't like any adults were coming to it, and Marigold had invited her without much prompting, so it wasn't that awkward. She'd just needed to get away from Louis before she killed him. "I'm so cold," she said, stuffing her hands in her pockets and shivering in her coat, her hat pulled down as far as it would go without obscuring her vision. "Thanks for inviting me. I really needed out of the house."
