"Well, it's not as if you like me at all," James pointed out, blinking at Cepheus in surprise. Was he being petulant because James had missed something obvious? "You hardly ever say two words to me that aren't insults unless we're both naked, and even then it's touch and go."
He frowned a little, shifting closer to the other boy. "I didn't think you wanted me to say anything to you. I was your last resort for a date, remember?"
