LJ-SEC: (ORIGINALLY POSTED BY [info]containedchaos)

Who: Giselle Williams
When: Thursday (all day and a few weeks before)
Where: PMHF, Burnham City
What: Elle gets out
Bingo: Best day of my life

Giselle Williams could talk her way out of anything. It had taken her over a year but she was about to get herself out of the worst situation yet. Her adoring sister had dropped her off at a mental health facility because it was for the best. Of course it made Giselle angry and even more "crazy" than she was before, but it made her more determined to get out.

After talking with several therapists and doctors she finally settled on admitting that she "needed medication" to help control her disease. Borderline personality disorder? Whatever. She knew what she wanted and what she needed. She just needed to act like nothing was wrong and she could get away with whatever she wanted.

"We're going to give you a few days on the medication here to see how you react and if things go as planned we can have you released by the end of the week," one of the doctors had said exactly seven days prior.

Giselle had not been taking her medication as prescribed though. She had no idea how it would make her act and she couldn't go ruining her chances. So swallowed the medicine but as soon as the nurse had left her room, she purged until she saw the little white pills. She was going to get out no matter what.

"So Giselle, how are you feeling today?" the doctor asked as Giselle sat down in her normal seat.

"Great," she crossed her legs and leaned back in the chair. "I'm just so glad I finally decided to go ahead with treatment. I feel more clear," she lied through her teeth.

"Good, and you're sleeping?"

"Haven't slept better in my life."

"How do you feel about yourself?"

You mean the worthless, empty shell filled with stupid ideas? I have no idea. "I feel like I'm beginning to discover a whole new me," she came up with the answer that she thought he wanted to hear.

"And have you had any thoughts of suicide recently?"

"Of course not," she forced a laugh and a fake smile. Almost every day since I've been in here.

"We're going to release you on a few conditions. There has been a remarkable turn around in your behavior and we don't think you should be kept here any longer."

Of course there are conditions. "What are the conditions?"

"You must submit to a weekly drug test, this includes alcohol. You must report to therapy sessions twice a week, if we feel later on you can decrease that number then it will be decreased. You will be on suicide watch for a month. You must continue taking your medication. And you must attend anger management classes."

"Sounds doable." Kill me now. She reasoned in her mind though that she could smoke, that was her choice, but she couldn’t drink every night, she had to make sure she was sober for at least one day to take her drug tests and recreational drugs were completely out.

After she signed the release papers Giselle Williams collected her things and went shopping for a new outfit. How could she possibly pick up a guy at a bar wearing skinny jeans and a tee shirt that had been in storage from a year ago?

All went according to plan and after getting drunk for the first time in a year and hooking up with a random guy at the bar, Giselle had a place to sleep that night.
