What: Hugh is stressed, Jack comes to the rescue with a secret from his past

Hugh was tired. He was always working, and working hard at shitty jobs. He barely had a social life and he was miserable but there was always his little Emmy who could make him smile but when she was asleep, he sulked. He sat at the kitchen table with his head in his hands, almost falling asleep every few minutes.
Jack knew that his brother was stressed and tired. He knew he was miserable but he knew what would make him feel better. Laughter. So he slumped down in the kitchen chair across from his brother and sighed. "I need to get something off my chest."
"What is it?" Hugh looked up.
"You remember when I told you I was doing street theater a couple of years ago?"
"Yeah."
"I wasn't," he sighed. He put on the most serious face he could muster as he prepared himself to tell Hugh the truth about his 'street theater' days.
"What were you doing?" Hugh's interest was peeked as he leaned forward on the table.
Jack sighed again. "I was Sponge Bob Square Pants… on ice," he said with a straight face.
Hugh stared at him for a moment before his lips cracked into grin and he faltered into laughter. He laughed so hard his eyes watered and his sides hurt. Perhaps it wasn't because Jack's former job as Sponge Bob on ice was all that funny or because Jack was able to say it with a straight face, he really couldn't tell why he was laughing so hard, maybe it was because he knew he needed to. Jack fell into laughter with him and felt at peace once he heard his brother laughing again. All would be well in time.
