V-day D-day Party at the Pleasantview Cafe, February 13th (open to all)
LJ-SEC: (ORIGINALLY POSTED BY [info]inthefreakdom)

Of all the days of the year that Elle Mann adored, Valentine's Day was fairly near the bottom. It wasn't so much that she had anything against the day; it was more that she had to watch moony-eyed teenagers and young couples clogging up her cafe on dates. Their precious romance was annoying and they'd sit at their tables staring at each other all night.

She decided then that she'd celebrate Valentine's Day (or the evening before as it worked out) in a way which would encourage all the local singles to come out and trash the idea of romance. She updated the cafe web page and put up fliers around town and in Burnham City. She decorated the cafe with torn paper hearts, little bomb shaped candles, candy and crossbones.

The local DJ already had a selection of anti-love songs ready to go and the party was thumping. Tonight was going to be a good night; Elle was counting on it.
