Her entire face lit up when he complimented her once more. It was probably pretty obvious that she loved it when he said things like that. In case it wasn't, though, she lifted herself onto her toes and pressed an affectionate kiss to his lips. Ashleigh Barton would never tired of hearing that Ed McMillan thought that she was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. In fact, it probably wouldn't be long before she was encouraging him to say it again

A shiver ran down her spine when his fingers stroked lightly over her back, and her hold on him tightened. Her thoughts drifted for a brief moment, and she found herself looking forward to having those hands in other places, but she was pulled back into the moment when he spoke. She grinned when his response was similar to her own.
