Arianna squealed with laughter as he chased her into the water. It was really hot outside, so the cold water felt good. But it was really cold too. She just wouldn't let him see her teeth chattering. Once they stayed in long enough, they would get used to it and it would feel good.
"It is cold, but the best thing to do is fully submerge and then just let your head resurface." Before she could do that, though, he splashed her with the cold water. Standing there shocked for a moment, Arianna pulled her mouth shut and started splashing him hard and fast.
"It's very cold! How do you like it?" She knew a retaliation was coming, so before he could launch it she dove into an oncoming wave and swam out a little further. Resurfacing, she turned back to face the shore and see where Chance was.
"You should join me out here... it's much warmer. Honest!" And it was. Maybe it was because she'd gone under and now only had her head out of the water or because the water was slightly warmer when it got a little deeper.
