His response had her heart race and not in a good way. She'd said too much... let him know too much of her feelings. "Yea... No that's okay... I understand... We'll just see how things go or whatever...". Looking away, she bit her lip. Arianna was a fool. She didn't usually tell boys how she felt and this was a good reason why. Biting back any threat of tears, she plastered on her happy face.
She even went as far as to laugh at the idea of a race. Positioning Tandy right, they started to walk towards the wall. After what just happened, she really wanted to win. However, Tandy on the other hand, had different ideas. The little monkey twisted in her arms and climbed up Arianna's body like she was a tree. Wrapping her little arms around her neck, Ari couldn't help but hug the monkey back lovingly. Maybe she was intuitive to her feelings and knew she could use a hug. "Thank you, my beautiful girl," she whispered.
