A lot of the other kids were objecting when the ended up with a same-sex kiss, but Melly simply shrugged it off. She wasn't gay, by any means, but she really liked kissing and she didn't hate kissing another girl. She and Abbie had done it a few times to show off for guys, anyway.
She grinned at Ashleigh and started to scoot across the circle to where the younger cheerleader sat flanked by Ed and Dari. Mmm, Ed. She'd much rather be kissing him, but she was cool with Ashleigh, too.
A heartbeat later, she'd closed the distance and without any real preamble, she was pressing her lips firmly to the other girl's.
