It was an understatement to say that Ashleigh was embarrassed by the way she'd behaved when Ed had kissed her. It was just a game, and she'd acted like... like they were going to do a lot more than kiss.

She'd spent the remainder of the game trying to catch the eye of her boyfriend. Whenever he looked at her, though, he quickly looked away. He was mad. At least, she thought he was mad. After all, she would've been mad if their rolls had been reversed.

Ashleigh and Ed had already decided that they weren't interesting in playing another round. When she saw her boyfriend walk away from the group, though, their plans to get into the hot tub were put on hold. As far as she was concerned, that confirmed that he was angry.

"I'm sorry," she murmured to her male best friend. "I'll be right back. I promise. I just have to... I have to go... say something."

It didn't take her very long to catch up with the other boy, and she tried to force a smile onto her face.

"That was someth... that was... I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to get so carried away."
