Melia had felt his tongue brushing against her lips, but she'd been afraid of deepening the embrace. It hadn't been a bad kiss, but she hadn't wanted to encourage him. After all, the last thing she needed was to be attacked in front of the entire school.

Another bright blush washed over her features when he called her a cherry. She tried to mumbled something of a protest, but she stuttered too much to be understood. In the end, she forced herself to fall silent. It was over. It didn't matter what he thought as long as she didn't have to kiss him again.
