"That is absolutely true," she agreed without hesitation. "It's definitely not a party without me!" She grinned brightly at him. "I'm glad you'll be there, though," she added, not all ego, at least. "It wouldn't be nearly as fun without you there, either."
After all, he was cute and Melly was hoping she'd managed to dance with him a little at said party.
