Who: Sage Green and Maggie Holland
What: BFF Tiems!
Where: Maggie's house
When: Friday Night; June 20th; Around 7pm
Rating: PG-13, I think!
Status: Incomplete

Sage had spent the better part of the last two weeks trying to find a job. Not that she was all that crazy about the idea, but she wanted a little extra spending money. Her parents were on some responsibility kick where they didn't think they should just hand her everything she needed. It was annoying.

Luckily, Maggie's parents were much more sensible, which meant she could escape to her best friend's house and expect to be just as spoiled as her friend was. Plenty of good food, a nice, big-screen tv to watch and best of all, the company of her best friend.

"He is SO hot," Sage commented, looking up from her toes, which she was painting a bright red, to glance at the screen. She hadn't really been paying attention to the movie they were supposed to be watching, but she could definitely take a moment to appreciate the delicious hunk of man on the screen at the moment. Obviously, it was a good time to start paying a little attention.

Maggie was ecstatic that her parents weren't on the same responsibility kick that her best friends were. If she had to get a job, well she wouldn't have been a happy camper. She has other things planned for her vacation. Most of them involve boys, the pool, bikini's and working on a tan. That sounded like the way you spent summer vacation, if you asked her.

"SO hot," Maggie agreed, reaching for her drink. It wasn't the best movie by any means but it did have good eye candy.

"I still can't believe your parents are making you get a job," she said, when the movie switched to the plot and away from her eye candy. "You should skip the job and just spend your summer here. Obviously."

It sounded like the better option to her. Besides if Sage was working, then what was Maggie going to do with her summer?

Boys, the pool, bikinis and working on a tan sounded like great priorities if you asked her. Especially when it was their last summer before college. They were going to have to be adults next year. Well, sort of. More so than they'd been in high school. That meant they should be relaxing as much as they could, right?

Not that Sage had actually been working HARD at finding a job. She tended to find herself at the record store more often than not, flirting with a certain clerk there. He was insanely hot and a musician, though. Who could blame her?

"I think that is an excellent plan," she agreed readily. Hanging out with Maggie definitely sounded like more fun than working.

It wasn't like she needed money. Her parents weren't going to do something crazy like refuse to pay for college.

"We have important things to do, anyway," she pointed out. "Like find a fabulous apartment within walking distance of all the good parties for next year."

They were going to the same college, after all. Why would they NOT live together?

Thy should definitely be relaxing and enjoying their summer as much as possible. They had several weeks off to enjoy before they took a leap towards adulthood. Maggie could't think of any other way they should be spending their break.

"That's a pretty important thing to do," Maggie agreed, a smile on her face. An apartment with her best friend sounded amazing if you asked her. Especially one that was within walking distance of all the good parties. What more could they want?

"At least I know I'll like my roommate," she said and took a sip of her water.

Adulthood? Oh, no. College was not about being an adult. College was about parties and guys and having fun for four more years before they had to be adults. There would allegedly be studying, too, though, especially since they were going to Northwestern, so a summer of relaxing was desperately needed.

Apartment hunting was also vital. After all, they both had STANDARDS. They'd have to start early to get a suitable place.

"You should," Sage agreed with a grin. "Your roommate is really fucking awesome."

Adulthood in the sense that they had classes and thus responsibility. More so than they had in high school at least. Maggie was hoping that she could get away with studying as little as she did in high school.

A suitable place that met their standards AND was close to the good party places on campus. It would take time to find a place that met those standards but Maggie was sure they would find the perfect place.

She was looking forward to be able to share an apartment with her best friend and hopefully a few classes. "Almost as awesome as yours," Maggie added with a grin.

Sage figured college would be a little more lax, at least in having to attend classes. They'd have to go enough to keep their grades up, of course, but it wasn't like anyone would be calling their parents if they didn't show up.

"We're going to have to start looking soon," she mused out loud between sips of her drink. Not tonight, obviously. There wasn't a whole lot that could be done at the moment and they both had better things to do on a Friday night.

"Sooo, what are we doing tonight?" she asked after another moment. There were probably some parties around or they could probably find a good club. She wasn't too worried about it. Whatever they decided on, she knew they'd have fun.

"Soon," Maggie agreed. They still had some time. She was right. There were better things to be thinking about on a Friday night.
"I heard there was a party. We could check it out," she suggested. They would have a good time wherever they went. Party, club. Hell, depending on how the party went, they could always bail and head to a club.

"Okay, let's do that."

Sage wasn't in a huge rush to get up, but at some point they would have to get ready. They might be naturally hot, but going to a party did involve some preparation. Like picking the perfect outfit.

They'd get to that any minute, she was sure, but for now she was going to focus on just hanging out and having fun with her best friend.
