It's not techinically my event, to be fair. It's [info]bar_ohki's. I just have some characters participating in it... and the only reason it's been dragged out like it has is because a lot of the participants aren't online at the same times due to the holidays.

I imagine that this overlaying plot wouldn't go into affect until the new year, if people really wanted it, that is.
