Okay here is the official deal
I don't care if you all wish to make verbal agreements of things with one another. Just as long as EVERYONE involved in said agreement knows and consents with said agreement.
i.e. Xemnas and Maleficent cannot have a verbal agreement that they have a tape of the morality puppet show they made using Roxas and Axel's underoos without asking Axel and Roxas first. (But OMG tickets to this please!)

This time with 50% more information.
After careful consideration, we have decided that it is in the best interest of the community to create ![[info]](https://www.scribbld.com/img/community.gif) xttown for all your smutty rp needs. We mods feel that too much smut in the main comm may be driving off people who are not interested in a smut rp environment. We sincerely hope that those of you who engage in smut rp are not put off by this or misconstrue it as the mods here trying to stifle your creativity, because that is not the case. (I mean, I rp smut too, so yeah). So if you're interested in that, please join the community and post all your smut there from here on out.
If you post smut in the main comm, you will have a 24 hour grace period to move it to the smut comm or else a mod will delete your post. If a post starts off smut-free and begins to go in that direction, you do not have to move the entire thread to xttown, simply make a post there for the smut and link from the post in the main comm to it for those who may be interested in reading the non-smut portion only and vice-versa. Think of it as "moving it to the bedroom," so to speak. ;)
This rule change only applies to posts made after this announcement.
Second order of business, I don't know if everyone knows, but we do have a crack comm! crackttown. It wasn't in the info for a while due to an error on our part and is completely optional, but if you want to have a hilarious post demanding penguins, that's where to go.
Last, but certainly not least, I don't know if everyone's aware of this, but theabyss will no longer be posted in. We're leaving the comm up so that old entries there are available for the reading pleasure of other members, but the abyss has become The World That Never Was and you can simply post in the main comm with "where" as "The World That Never Was" just like with the other towns that were recently added.

| More Football Event stuff (hopefully the last) |

I think this is going to be the last of the football event stuff until I have game times and dates. This is where we discus game details and you can oocly arrange your teams a little.
First, the games will take place between Dec 11th to Jan 3rd. I'm willing to do any time that isn't like 6 am ECT (or 3 am PST), mostly because I believe people need to sleep.
I'm estimating games will take 2 hours at the very, very most (I'm sure it will probably be about 1 hour or less, but I'm giving myself a large safety factor here in case something happens). They will happen in a chatroom on AIM. I'm going to do this like we did the ball so you only need to use one IM. Here's an example:
[Kairos Skyeyes]: (Mamori): Let's start! *flips a coin* Heads.
[BurnBabyVII]: (Hiruma): We take the field.
[Kairos Skyeyes]: (Link): Why am I not surprised?
Right now I have space for one or two more people to make teams from. I'm going to close the application this Sunday at 3 pm ECT (or noon PST). At that point, whatever we got is whatever we got.
After this 3 pm ECT this Sunday, I would like to leave characters to form teams on their own. If you're someone who does not want a large commitment from this event (only play one game) then please tell me so I can try to make a separate list for you people. The way this tournament will work is that we have 2 teams (6 people) that can be eliminated in the first round for sure. I can have up to 2 more teams also get eliminated in their first match because of the tournament structure (this is single elimination style). This means we can have up to 12 people get eliminated in their first match. We will have 5 games total.
I'm also up for having a match that completely dissolves into chaos, resulting in both teams getting disqualified from the tournament. Just remember any match requires 6 characters.
When you're done forming teams, Mamori will set up matches. But I'm going to be taking player input on those.
Also, there's two things I kind of would like to know, how fast and how strong are your characters?
Example: Link is faster than the average guy, but he's not a sprinter. He's pretty dang strong (I mean he can throw that ball and chain around, holy crap!).
This is so that we can have an idea when people have a face off how successful its going to be. Following the Link example, if he was trying to out run, say Hiruma, it'd be a pretty close race, but I think Hiruma's just a tad faster. But in a strength competion (like say, Link's trying to knock Hiruma over) Link'll probably win.
Here's how I'm going to do the victories: they will be decided in advance by a coin flip. That's as much control as I'm going to put over anyone while we do this. Unless you're kicking, first time to score three times wins, no questions asked.

Okay, here's another football event update!
I'm going to have Mamori release an IC post announcing a football tournament with official rules (link here). She'll be asking people to make teams of three and submit them there.
Here I'm going to put an official list of the characters playing. You're still welcome to join in, and it would be fun if you did some RP plays were characters try to recruit others. If you want to join in, or add more people, please do so here so I can keep track of them all in one place.
The one of the catch is that you can't play with people from your own world (so Hiruma and Sena are not allowed to be on the same team). I'll put a list of teams at the bottom as they come in here, so you can check. You are welcome to play with your own characters (so Leon, Mikage and Zack are welcome to be a team).
Because they games will be separate entities, they don't have to all happen at once and on the same day (they can though, I don't mind running two games at once). Games can start as early as December 11th and have to be done by Jan 3rd. I don't mind doing evenings, or early mornings for games. I'll post dates and times in ECT when I do have them.

Yaaay Im doing a mod post! To take a break from being lazy, I'm putting together an information database for the community as a reference guide. It's basically going to be a link to all character wiki pages and series pages so that in your spare time or if you just need a guide to a character you're interacting with you can get information. I'll say this now and repeat it later but this WILL NOT be used as a tool for godmodding. It's more or less going to be an informational guide to aid people with better understanding of the characters they are playing with and for the curious.
I will also be including personal notes for some characters, which brings me to this post. If you are playing your character from a specific arc in your series/game/book/ storyline, I'd like to know what it is so I can add it to the notes. This does not apply to everybody but for some characters that's the time frame they wish to play their characters from.
For example:
I play Pegasus from Yu-gi-oh! after the events of Duelist Kingdom but prior to Battle City. So he lacks an eye, he's not villainous, and he has no events of what transpires from Battle City onward.
If there are any other notes you'd like me to add to your character that cannot be found in wiki but are more relevant to the RP then please also let me know that. This would include but is not limited to personal relationships, jobs, roommates, ect. If you want me to include that information in the database.
I will begin working on it promptly and I will update it when we receive new claims or people get new information they wish to add. Appreciate the help guys! |

| COMPROMISE |

So I was later informed/had it pointed out to me that the snow thing probably had the gun jumped. That it was kind of early and some people had a few things they might want to do that didn't involve it. So here is our awesome compromise.
Right now there isn't a whole lot of snow. And it's not going to be around all the time. Sort of like if it really snowed this time of year. Right now it's starting to get cold, flurries, and not like a ton of it. (Enough though that you who want to do stuff with it right now can.)
Though come after Thanksgiving and December we can have HUGE ass snowstorms. Fair compromise? Yes? No? |

| Football Event stuffs! |

I officially have permission to run the Traverse Town Football Event, so now I'm running some logistics.
If there is anyone here who has characters that would be interested in participating, could you please reply with a list? Do remember I might not allow all of your characters to be players. We're making teams of three, so the total number of players should be divisible by either 6 or 3. I may allow some characters to join on as substitute players. And just so we're clear, people will be getting injured during this event. So if you have issues with your character getting injured, you have to let me know. I would also like to know if you have a character you think can ICly break the rules, either on accident or on purpose. I am excepting either gender for any position (so female players and male cheerleaders are okay!).
The event itself I'm aiming to host in December. I'm asking this information now because its going to be complicated. If you're not sure, please tell me that you're not sure.
The event will take place over the course of a few days (Dec 11 - Jan 3). The way it will work is that I will create and invite the players into a chat room. Then we will RP the game on IM. I'm going to estimate that a game will take about an hour or two at the most. I mean, we're only aiming for 3 touchdowns here (or 9 field goals). After the game is over, I'll post a copy of the chat in Traverse Town. People are welcome to reply on the thread as audience and cheerleaders at that point. If I ball goes flying out of bounds, Mamori's just going to replace it. This'll allow the audience to potentially get hit on the head with a ball, or catch it, or a number of other things.
I need the following:
Players (please tell me if they can be injured and/or if they are rule breakers)
Healers (only one or two total, its not a big deal)
Cheerleaders
And maybe another referee.
The first reply here is an example.

I seem to have a habit of picking up characters with interesting issues, so now it's time to explain Agatha's.
She's a Spark (aka Mad Scientist) builds monstrosities that defy the laws of nature in a matter of hours. Agatha's not a bad person so its not like she's going to run around and build a robot army to take over Traverse Town, but she could if she wanted to.
The other thing about Agatha that's relevant is the fact she's got the Other in her head (scroll towards the bottom of the first link). Unlike Agatha, the Other is a bad person and her mother! Right now the only thing keeping Agatha from losing control is the broach her Uncle Barry gave her. Agatha can regain some temporary control when her body gets exhausted.
Another interesting thing that might happen while the Other is running about is she might make some Silver Wasps. Which are really fast and strong and hard to kill. The extremely atheletic Gil (who had been shot in the shoulder prior in the first link) has issues fighting the blasted things. There will be notification if these babies get released and/or a robot army gets released.
On a side note, only Sena and the Doctor know about Agatha's whole having the Other running around in her head thing.
So what does everyone say to Agatha losing her broach and the Other coming out and trying to take over town?
If I did this, the Other would run on the same account as Agatha does (since they share the same body). I'll clarify which one is in control if someone asks me oocly, but to be IC there will be little distinction other than how she acts (so observant characters will totally be able to pick up a difference).

| Football Tournament anyone? |

For a while now, ever since Mamori came to this RP, myself and Hiruma-mun have been asking around if other characters (and players) have interest in football. Since there's been some pretty possitive feedback from that, I thought I'd prepose we have a mini-football tournament as an event over winter break. Because its a) Bowl Season and b) people are more likely to be on.
I'm pretty sure this would be an IM event since it would be hard to manage the plays in anything less than live-time.
The teams would be three on three for the sake of keeping it as uncomplicated as possible. I've got a set of extremely altered and simplified rules I think would be appropreate for an RP play. I'll post those if there's enough interest to do the event in the first place. This would be a single elimination tournament (aka if you lose you're out) with some appropreate prizes (Sea Salt ice cream free at the cafe for the next month?, I dunno just yet).
I'm confident we can pull this off, so tell me if you think its a good idea or if you have any concerns or comments you'd like to add. |

| Yes Another Post But Hey It's Important |

Since it had recently been brought to attention of people's displeasure with things along the lines of joining open threads only to be insta-shoved out I have looked it over and decided to present some somewhat official solutions.
For starters on the topic of posting open. Don't ever post open unless you seriously mean open. If you are posting open in effort to bait for someone you wanted to play with don't. Either talk to the person first and work it out from there or if you really wanna be daring you can attempt to put them in the 'who' line and close it. (Though if you don't talk to them about it before hand I will never guarantee they will respond.)
Also if you jump in an open thread in progress and don't have to be escorted out you should probably give yourself a reason to be there and a reason to stick around. Yes it does suck if you jump in and get some what tossed out a few comments later but if you jump in and just wander around in confusion then you're disrupting what is already going on and really leaving no IC choice.
In addition to that, and I can't stress this one enough, don't jump in a thread in progress if you're only going to be around for less than an hour. It's rude to the people who are in it at that time because then when you leave a few minutes later you bring them to a stand still.
Oh and if you join in a thread you personally didn't post and it has more than one other person make sure you TRACK it. (Do so by clicking the thumb tack looking thing at the top of the post.) If you don't then you will NOT get e-mail responses for that thread and will NOT know when it's your turn again. (Unless you're just sitting there staring at the page refreshing it every couple of minutes)

Also if anyone has any more ideas for future events go ahead and comment here. Or ravage me in an IM you know how I like it.
On a final not I am doing a clean up with week. So anyone who hasn't been active in awhile is going to be booted. This cut goes by PLAYERS not characters. If you played with one of your characters recently you're safe. I don't care if you haven't used on in a month as long as you active on at least one of your claimed recently you're golden. (Though really when claiming try to use good judgment about how many you can handle this is an RP not a blog crew *admits to being just as guilty about this as the next person though*) |

Hey, I don't mean to be a pill but there's been a few trends here that have been confusing me.
First off, someone posts an unplanned, spontanious post and it takes players several days to jump in and reply. Even though they are creating new threads and leaving an empty one neglected for several days, weeks in certain cases. Now, I admit I don't always jump into these because I like to offer others a chance to themselves. And sometimes I feel like the poster might have certain other players in mind when they make a post, so I wait. But I'm really curious why this is happening mostly because I can't really come up with a logical explanation.
Secondly, some characters only seem to appear around other characters. Sometimes there are reasons for these things (like workplace, living place, etc.). Sometimes there's the whole 'people like to be around those they know in strange places' part of human thought that can explain these things. Now I try my best to make my characters interact with everyone and I know I don't always succeed mostly because of who is on when and also that sometimes I feel it would be highly inappropreate to stick my character into a post that's taking place in Lelouch's apartment (can't find a reason for them to be there and be IC). But I'm kind of wondering what everyone else's reasons are for this....
Thirdly, sometimes when I jump a character of mine into a post I get one, maybe two replies and then its over. I'm really confused by these ones. I don't know if the other person hates, me, is too busy, or whatever.
So uh, yeah. If someone could explain this for me, I'd be greatful.
