For a Klingon vessel, the mood aboard the Crossed Swords was light, the real difficulty was not morale, but convincing the crew to wait until they reached leave to begin the celebration. Already, eighteen crew members had been injured - the young and enthusiastic sometimes celebrated as hard as they fought. Captain Kouros could hardly blame them. They had met with almost nothing but success since the first mate came aboard. Despite the rumors and suggestions of religious fervor, Kri'stak had this way of inspiring the young, honorable and impressionable. It wasn't so much that they were meeting with extraordinary successes - they had no worthy enemies to fight, the Romulans were hiding in their holes, Starfleet was an ally, and the council's infighting was in the political arena. It was more a matter of the, even for Klingons, fervor with which they went about succeeding at their normal duties.
His contacts in House Duras would not be pleased.
