"Eh?"
The word came out of her mouth before she even thought about it--it was just a reflex response to his offer. Which she shouldn't have sounded so surprised at, because now she probably sounded like a loser who had never had a guy ask her to dance before, which was so not true, but it was sort of sudden, wasn't it? Out of the blue? And what was it supposed to mean, anyway? If he was asking just moments after 'meeting' her, did that mean that he possibly knew who she was? Her mask was somewhat more revealing than most of the others, which meant it was possible that he could see her face, but--
--but she was mentally rambling like a nutter and he was sitting there waiting for her to respond. Way to go, Meredith--she really had a way with the menfolk, she did.
"I guess my lost date wouldn't mind if I spared you one dance," she recovered as well as she could, attempting to look casual about it despite the fact that she was now even more in a tizzy over Ridiculously Good-Looking Man's identity.
