So like, when you were going to a ball, you were
supposed to be able to find people you wanted to dance with, right?
At least, that's what
Lucy had thought. But even though she had been scouting out the room for Xenophilius the whole night, so far she'd had no luck finding him. It was a super sad dilemma, and she really hoped he'd turn up soon, because she didn't want to have to take off her pretty
mask and start jumping around to get his attention, wherever he was.
Lucy walked backwards as she got up on her toes to gaze over the heads of the people dancing (to no avail--it wasn't easy being under five foot), until she felt her back bump into something warm and solid. Oh gosh, she fretted inwardly as she turned around to apologize. She should really watch where she was going more often, especially since people seemed to get irrationally mad at her when she was clumsy and--
"XENOPHILIUS LEOPOLD, I HAVE FOUND YOU!"
