Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Phoebe and Ashlyn
What: :\
When: New Year's Eve

Okay, Ashlyn was really not ready for this. Sure, she had talked to Emmeline to get the potion and everything and she knew that things with Keegan were going to end up in matrimonial bliss at some point but she was in school. More importantly, she was not supposed to be the stupid girl who let some guy have his fun and then have these---consequences that she was far too young and not at all ready with which to deal! She had visions of becoming a hit witch that had been dancing in her head since she was thirteen and if she was pregnant (which she wasn't even really sure she was), her future career could be jeopardized. They wouldn't let a girl who was up the duff out on assignments, training and the like. This--this was the sort of thing that happened to other girls, girls like Ingrid Catchlove, not her. They had been careful! She was on the potion, and they'd used protection and--there was just no way she could be.

It'd been nearly a month since the last encounter with Keegan, and still nothing. Maybe it was just the stress that was making her late, she didn't know. But if she was pregnant, there would be no turning around from this. Her mother would be furious, and her father would probably kill Keegan, but she'd be having the baby. Even if she wanted to--to have an abortion--her parents wouldn't allow it (damn Catholicism). They would be angry if they even knew that she was on birth control but--she wasn't even sure if it had done its fucking job in the first place.

Even more scary than telling her parents would be telling Keegan. If she wasn't ready to be a mum, she was sure he wasn't ready to be a father. All she could do now is wait for Phoebe to show up and pray that she wasn't actually pregnant. She didn't want to admit this to Phoebe, either, but she was her best friend. This was something she needed to have her best friend there for, and if anyone would be understanding (even if she didn't actually mean it), it would be Phoebe. She just--needed to figure out how to word things before she arrived. And whether or not she actually wanted to use the test tonight or just wait a while longer. Maybe if she ignored it it would go away?
