She hadn't even thought of her wand--that was--that was utterly foolish of her. "I--I didn't think of...using it," she said softly, trying to figure out Gabriel at that instant. She had never ever seen him drink, let alone the results of him drinking too much. It had just felt natural to grab the closest heavy thing to her--her adrenaline had kicked in and she went into autopilot or something.

"Well, would you have rather had a massive headache from a skillet to the head or being completely blown up from my wand?" She didn't want to think of either scenario, but greatly preferred the former if it was Gabriel on the receiving end of the stick. It was a completely moot retort given that she had no idea it was Gabriel in the other room, but the thought of doing something with her wand that injured him hurt much worse than the thought of accidentally knocking him upside the head with kitchen supplies.
