He raised his eyebrow and plucked the glass from her lazy grip, eying the lack of its contents, unimpressed.
"Honestly, kisa?" Amery folded his arms and gave her an expectant look. "You are this far along in your pregnancy, and you choose to drink? I know you and the idea of motherhood have your differences , but this is well beyond toeing a line you should not think of crossing."
In fact, Amery was thinking that he might have to have the house searched for the remaining decanters and bottles to have them properly disposed of. It was a quick, albeit temporary, fix for the problem, but if it ruffled Juliana's feathers, it would do its job. A job which, Amery would like to add, would have been so much easier had she actually been impregnated by a husband (her husband, preferably, but he was willing to let that slide on account of just who that was) who would actually be able to care for his wife for duration of her pregnancy.
Which he voiced aloud. "Although if you had someone here legitimately caring for you, that would be ensured. I'm sure the good-for-nothing is happily distracting himself with something else, however."
