It wasn't as if Will couldn't get back into his house. He was a fully-fledged auror; if he couldn't break through some wards that his wife had put up, not that Anneliese wasn't a brilliant witch, then---he was in deeper trouble than his wife imagined him to be. Will was perfectly capable of breaking and entering his home (how aurorish was that?), but the fact remained that he was very angry at Anneliese, and didn't feel the need to come home because she obviously didn't need him.

If he was stupid Dedalus Diggle, Will was sure she'd throw the door open wide with open arms. Bloody hell, what was wrong with calling your husband in your time of need? Wasn't that what he was here for? Will could not fathom having anyone else be the one to come to Anneliese's rescue, that he was the one that was supposed to keep her from getting hurt or scared and---out of trouble. She was best friends with two women who were directly connected to the worse case of treachery the Dark Lord had seen; she needed his protection.

Sleeping in Erin and Rafe's living room had hit its amusement point; Erin pregnant was humorous at first, but now the constant morning sickness and ranting at him for messing up the sofa cushions was making him weary. Will found himself trudging through the backyard of his home, their home, and after a few minutes of effort (she must be really angry at him) Will pushed open the door.

Of course it was near the kitchen, and of course he could hear the clanging of dishes in the kitchen, and Will held back a sigh; another fight or a tearful 'where the hell have you been and why didn't you come home?' Really not wanting to be kicked out of his house for much longer, Will entered the kitchen, pulling a slight face at Anneliese before dropping a decently sized brown box on the table and heading toward the refrigerator.
