Fredrick!
Who knew that watching popcorn pop could be so amusing?

Agatha stood in front of the stove inside Fredrick's flat, watching the silver...thing, popcorn popper begin to inflate with what had to be popcorn (she hoped it was popcorn, those were the seeds she'd put in there...). As much as she liked to say she was one of the modern purebloods, doing things the muggle way and embracing muggle culture, it was little things like this that still continued to amaze her. Didn't bother her, but amazed her, and now she was getting used to more and more of the things muggles used in every day life. Not that Fredrick was a muggle! Not that there was anything wrong with being a muggle, of course---

---bother, she should just get off the tangent her mind had gone off to and get the butter.

She pulled apart the top cover and grinned at the sight of a nice big tray of popcorn. Perfect. A Friday night in with the boyfriend was just what she needed. Popcorn, movies, sex--the works. With the news about Caradoc had been weighing on her shoulders for weeks now, and with no one around to really understand or relate to (Juliet was the only other family member she spoke to, and she hadn't talked to Emmeline in years--) it was proving rough. So. She intended to avoid the subject until further notice.

Agatha dumped the popcorn into a bowl and hurried back to the living room with the ugly couch. Yep; she couldn't just call it the living room, that just didn't describe it well enough. She waved the bowl at Fredrick with a sly grin, "You ready to get scared out of your mind by Dracula?" She faked her best 'vampire teeth' expression with narrowed eyes.

"I'm more afraid of you hogging all the popcorn," Fredrick replied, pushing the tip of his nose against his face and making an obnoxious snorting sound. His legs, sprawled out, took up most of the couch (which was not ugly, thanks a lot!), and he barely budged up to make room for Agatha.

"Have you ever met a real vampire?" He asked her curious, staring at the TV guide's cover. "Cause this guy looks nothing like the ones in my sister's textbooks."

Agatha's vampire face dropped, or well--morphed into a quick glare before reaching forward and grabbing Fredrick's ankles. She attempted to move his legs off the couch, but found it far too difficult to do without dropping the popcorn.

"I saw one once at a party," she said, remembering a Slug Club party she attended (with, ugh--Fabian). Agatha lifted one of Fredrick's legs up by the pant, and once again turned her focus to him, "He wasn't wearing a cape, if anything. And his hair wasn't all--greasy."

Dropping his leg because Merlin, legs were heavy, Agatha slapped his shin, "Move over!"

"Ow!" Fredrick shrieked, even though the slap barely hurt. "Fine, fine, woman! Gimme a second!" He added in his best 'I'm-so-offended-blarh' voice. Putting on a disgruntled look, he lifted his legs up just long enough for her to take a seat and then let them fall back down.

"Have you ever seen...er, a ghoul? I think my aunt had one in her attic but I never saw it--don't hog all the popcorn," he added.

Agatha couldn't hold back the slight grunt she let out as his legs fell on top of her, but she did enjoy the comfort level they'd reach. She supposed that should be the right of passage; if you've seen a person naked, they should be allowed to lie their legs across your lap.

"No ghoul," she said, frowning and pulling the bowl away for a second before pushing it back into fair territory. Agatha had a great feeling that she wasn't going to see a lot of this movie, and she kind of wanted to. Unless he had a better idea. "I've petted a unicorn, though."

Fredrick wrinkled his nose. "Unicorn is too girly," he said, nestling down in his seat, wriggling around a little. He took up most of the couch but didn't seem to notice at all.

"Actually--" she struggled to get comfortable, okay, this was too comfortable, thanks, "they are girly. They really don't like males--not that I can disagree with them."

Agatha grabbed at his foot, moving it back and forth in frustration. Did he really need all of the couch? Was his body in that much need of cushion, "You know, there are plenty of other boys I could watch this movie with," she let out snootily, lifting her chin. It was--sort of true. Not really, but.
