Any excuse for a party.
At least, that used to be
Rachel's view on things. And while she still enjoyed socializing, parties just seemed so very stressful, yet completely monotonous. But the twenty-one-year-old was trying her best to remain optimistic about this one, as she shot a glance in one of the reflective glass panes of the windows and patted a wisp of her hair down.
She hoped seeing all her old schoolmates would be successful. Rachel had left school an entirely different person than she liked to think she was now, but how many people who would be here tonight knew that? The only one whom she had told about any of the major disturbances and changes in her life had been Giada--and while she had an inkling that the news spread a bit, it was still relatively... contained. Which meant how was Rachel supposed to present herself tonight? She was always poised, always perfect, and always smug, but attitude was an entirely different thing. It would feel good, to slip back into the princess act.
Overthinking. She was overthinking this, and it was irritating her, and Rachel hated being irritated. Exerting her annoyance one one of the decorations, she tugged it into a different spot, stepping back to look at it with a tilt of her head.
"I think it's still crooked," Rachel sighed.
