For the most part, Mackenzie had never been fond of house calls. Granted, she had only been on only a few so far, but the stories she had heard about them from other Healers did not let her warm up to the idea of at all. What was so wrong with coming into Mungo's in the first place? Most of the time when people called in, they were either too embarrassed, too proud of themselves, or literally couldn't walk to the hospital. So, either way it was cut, Mackenzie had pulled her lips together tight to hold back a groan at the tip of her tongue when Healer Jordan had assigned her to house calls for the day. Not just a piece of the day, the whole day. It was going to be a long day.

And of course, it hadn't helped that when she had got her first call midway through the day, all Smeth had to point out, so politely, was "Ohhh the Ministry. Maybe there's a conspiracy in the works." Yes, that had made her feel loads better.

Mackenzie looked down at the piece of paper in her hand, telling her what room her patient was in (oh Merlin, it was a conference room; why had she listened to Smeth?). Taking a deep breath, she grasped onto the handle and walked inside. Nothing could have prepared her for the scene in front of her, and Mackenzie didn't even try to hide the shock that soon spread across her face. Amery and Grayson? Oh dear Merlin she hated her life at this moment.

After a few seconds passed of total awkwardness (there was blood everywhere, she shook her head to try to get past the fact that this was her family, and now she had to heal them even though she was pretty sure that they despised her because this was her job. Of course it didn't work, so Mackenzie tried to act somewhat professional. "You called St. Mungo's for a healer?"
