"On the field, Frank!" Alice let out, falling stiff at her outburst and forcing herself to go back into her complacent, unsympathetic posture. No, no, she would not allow herself to get riled up over this. She needed to be calm to deal with and understand Frank, if she got loud and fought like she wanted to, it would only make things worse and Alice didn't know if she could deal with that.
She remembered their fights from school, arguments and lashing outs that almost tore them apart forever. They hadn't fought in so long, but it was clear that they both felt very strongly about the topic at hand, but were on completely opposite ideals. Alice was a soft-tempered woman, but when she believed in something it was very hard for her to be dissuaded. But Frank. Her Frank! Alice wanted to believe and trust him with everything, but right now it was so painful to think that he could have these thoughts and feelings and---
"Catch Jugson in the act, and then---then I will understand." Alice continued to stare at the wall, though her breaths had become shorter and her hands gripped tightly at the hem of her shirt.
