Tiberius!
This week, it was her husband's turn to visit her offices for lunch. They liked to go back and forth, to get some time together before picking up the kids at day care after work. Elena loved her children very, very much, but they were very loud children. She blamed that part of their personalities on the McLaggen side (Jia Li was a McLaggen, now, she definitely could inherit their traits). Lunch was the only hour that they were sure to get some adult time talking done, which was very necessary when you had two children under the age of three.

Elena didn't really want to talk about 'adult stuff' today, though. She'd been listening to Tiberius' plans to cleaning up the streets of the wizarding world for months now, and she had fully supported him, but now that they were enforced and people had to abide by these new rules...she could only wonder how long the bad guys would deal with being restricted. They definitely wouldn't take too kindly to security checks, and vigilantes? Were people really that mad?

She sat in the waiting room of the animal hospital with her face in her hand, silently musing about the trouble all of this could bring. Hopefully the world was changing for the better, but her ever optimistic heart couldn't believe that.

Tibs glance at his watch for the sixth time as he raced down the hall. He was running late to meet Elena for lunch. He never ran late, but his office was so hectic this past week with the new laws passing. The owls just wouldn't stop coming and then there were all the floo calls, he was almost in over his head.

But people were happy. They felt safe. Sure there were the few critics, but there always were. Things were looking up. Now if he could only make it to lunch on time.

He finally made it to the waiting room only ten minutes after he was suppose to be there. He leaned over and greeted his wife with a kiss really hoping that she wouldn't call him out on the fact that this was the second day in a row that he was late.

"Hey," he said with a grin, "ready for lunch?"

"Office still going nuts?" Elena said with a grin, staying seated for a second before pushing herself up. The life of a politician's wife wasn't easy.

Well---okay, it wasn't as if Tiberius were running for office and they had to be on the campaign trail and what not, but! She had to hear the gossip and talk about the Wizengamot, and she had to try and talk fairly about things and--and sometimes she did not agree with what he was doing but surely Tiberius would know what was best for the government and---

No adult thinking! Time for food and idle chit chat.

"Where would you like to go? We had Italian yesterday..."
