It would be rude to explain that she'd come here with the plan of stealing Jonas or Rafe away from their significant others, and had...she had not chickened out, but it was simply impossible to achieve her goals when they were--ugh, happy. Maggie had no doubt in her mind if she caught either of them on an off day the challenge would be easy (because really, it was just a challenge, she wanted nothing more than to be able to corrupt them). She didn't feel like making the effort tonight, however, and was glad to have been stepped on by Braith.
"Oh, I like to keep my options open," she replied, not noticing how far into the center of the dance floor they'd gone, because they were moving so gracefully. Maggie did not have a drop of pureblood society in her (her two halfblood parents were country hicks, at best--if they had hicks in Germany, in the case of her father), but she could dance.
"I'm surprised you're alone," Maggie commented, smirking up at Braith, "Isn't it the season for your lot to be getting married off?
