"Thank you, Healer O'Neil..." Dedalus said with a nod to the man he had been speaking to, immediately turning back to Eliza once they were alone again. His free hand covered hers as she squeezed tightly, his jaw clenching because of the pressure she was applying. He didn't say anything, since he knew she had to be in great deals of pain.
"Do you want more ice?" He offered her, reaching out to grab the cup of ice chips that had been placed nearby. When she took a few into her mouth, he placed it down for her before he reached over to brush her hair back from her forehead. "How far apart are they, now?" He asked, putting on his own act of 'calm'.
