"It's not silly," Galvin said with a shake of his head. He dropped down onto a stool and looked at Heidi, smiling softly, "I'd do anything to turn back time, to--make better decisions, or---"
He puffed up his cheeks; as much as he liked to blame himself, Galvin knew that he had nothing to do with Marlie's death. He didn't know why he tried to find some reason to put more emotional weight on his shoulders, but he did. It was why he'd accepted the Order's offer to join...maybe he could redeem himself from not being there to protect her.
"Being an adult sucks," he muttered, scrunching his nose.
