Caradoc didn't know what he was expecting to experience once he returned back home, back to her. It had all become such a big blur, half refusing to believe that this was all happening and half unrealistically content that it was. But-- he felt happy. More happy that he had felt in a while. Which was strange, because he was having so much difficulty showing it. Blame it on the fact that he had effectively been isolated for a year and a half, or his previous character, but that's what it was.

Blinking, he finally locked his gaze back on Emmeline. Things were going to be-- they were going to be fine. Granted there was a lot purely due to the fact of that they had to work through two years of shit, but. It would work out. They would work out. There wasn't--- he couldn't think of any other way.

But for now--- baby steps. They hadn't even... Caradoc still really had no clue concerning her life since he had been gone, and she neither, so maybe they could start there. Soon. Though not now. Now was not the time to start that conversation. Now was the time to snap out of this funk he was in. It wasn't right, it felt uncomfortable; like he was wearing someone else's skin that nearly fit, and that wouldn't work at all.

He approached her quickly, placing his hands on both sides of her face to hold it. His eyes locked with hers, and they stood there for a few moments. Whatever Caradoc had been searching for, he found within that time; a small, hooked smile appeared on his face before he gave Emmeline a quick kiss.

"Yes."
