Juliana had to hold back a loud and possibly very inappropriate laugh when Orpheus shared his job description. So this boy, this high-and-mighty fiancé of hers filed her papers for a living? Oh, how classic was that, that she was his superior, his boss? Too classic to ever let him forget it, in the very least, that was for sure.
Yes, yes, she remembered him now, vaguely at least. They'd passed in the hallways, but never spoken of course--they weren't friends, even true acquaintances, and apart from the inter-departmental memos they had exchanged (oh dear Merlin, she could hardly believe that the myserious "O.T." was the man standing in front of her), she never talked to people on the records staff. She didn't need, nor desire to. "Well," Juliana said, unable to keep the amused grin off her face no matter how hard she tried, "isn't this a fun coincidence."
She picked up her glass again and sipped, wondering if she should be as completely cruel as she wanted to be... yes, she decided quickly. Juliana had never been one to be able to hold back the biting remarks for long, after all. "Records staff don't gain very much salary, do they?" she asked rhetorically. "I do hope that you don't hope to stay there once we're married, or else we will have a very large problem. I have no intentions of being the breadwinner while my husband sits around in some miniscule, no-glamor position all day."
