She held back the arrogant smirk she wanted to send him when she noticed that he was averse to offering her anything further. Ahh, what fun it was so get a rise out of this one. And quite honestly, Juliana was shocked that Orpheus hadn't told her to leave, or gotten angrier--but then again, she was his fiancée, and he probably already knew that that would make her far too happy.
"Of course," she said with a soft smile. "It's only necessary that we both be concerned about these sorts of things now, as your own sake will be my sake come April. A husband and wife are supposed to look our for each other in that manner, I am told."
She took a drink of the wine the elf poured her and smoothed her napkin over her lap. Now that her jokes at his expense were done, she wondered what they were supposed to talk about. Maybe her lack of words was a good sign, she thought, that they would have a silent marriage. That would be absolutely ideal, in her mind.
