Sebastian

Sirius loved Padfoot. Not only was he good for getting pets and snacks, he was excellent at snooping around. Being a giant black dog at a Russian market place was a little out of place and he was kind of hyped up on the coffee and desserty breakfast thing, so he'd had some trouble concentrating, but if he'd smelled her out as Sirius, faintly, everyone had their own special scent and spending enough time with Harry gave him an easier time in picking up what mommies smelled like, so on a gamble and facing a dead end, Sirius 'borrowed' something of Mack's and headed out on his own to get some intel. And breakfast.

It was by pure coincidence that Padfoot had run across a very fresh trail and he'd barely remembered to shift back into Sirius before getting to the safe house they were staying in, to pull Sebastian with him. But now it was just waiting, and well, Sirius didn't do what very well. He was alert and keeping an eye (and nose) out, but leaning against a cold building when it was cold, not very fun. And he was starting to get a little hungry. "I swear, I had like, a glimpse of her," he told Sebastian, trying to stuff his hands in his pockets a little further. "This'll work, it has to."
