"I only removed myself from your case because allowed myself to behave inappropriately in front of you," she said quickly, though it was more out of embarrassment and the risk of Rupert using it against her. Therese would rather lose one of her star clients than be pulled through the ringer by her supervisors, or even worse, the tabloids. She had seen how the rags could ruin people's lives, and she had no desire to simply give them the ammo they so desired. "There was nothing sexual about my decision."
She felt her ears burn immediately; sometimes Therese wondered why it was so hard for her to turn off her clinical tone once it was turned on. Instead of blanching at her words like her body had been struck to do, she kept her eyes solidly on McCormack. Therese watched as a lovestruck gaze lit up his face, but then he disappeared into the crowd. If she was a good therapist (though choosing her patient as one of Rupert's victims was probably not a very good thing to do), she would watch to see what inner most desires were brought out of him, but Therese decided that the man was in need of some random romance.
Therese turned back to Rupert with a nod of approval. Her brows furrowed however, "Did you get lost in your arrow-shooting fun? I would not have expected you to stay around this long."
Maybe he was babysitting his team mates, because Merlin knew they needed the help.
