Out of all the men in the British and Irish Quidditch League, out of all the players, even the women (right now, she would have gladly taken on the lesbian rumor), he >i>had</i> to mention Galvin Gudgeon? He had to pick the bloke she'd been out with a few times, for drinks and maybe a little more?
Therese had always made it a point to not date quidditch players. She had plenty of opportunities, it wasn't as if she were one of those mousy healers that never bothered to do their hair before a client came in. There were many times she had to firmly (with her wand) remind them that they were in a professional setting, so it was strange to----she'd met him in the library, of all places! Galvin Gudgeon, the head boy of 1977, international quidditch star...picking out children's books for his niece in the local library!
He'd recognized her first, and initiated the conversation. Therese hadn't felt that awkward need to brush him off, and talking had turned into drinks, and drinks had turned into---well. She was allowed to have fun with a bloke, wasn't she? And---and he'd never been a patient, and...he was just nice, though she didn't see it going any further than their couple of---
"Oh, look," Therese said, sitting up and dropping her feet to the ground. She would take the Kestrels finishing their laps as an excuse to end the games, "They're heading toward the lockers---I suppose I should speak to Charles now."
