RUPERT
She had been very keen on ending the year on a good note. She was even attending a pretty fancy New Year’s Eve party, something that she hadn’t done in years.
Therese was happy, and she had been enjoying the time. It wasn’t very often that she got to dress up, especially with a very handsome man on her arms. She and Galvin---well, they had both made it very clear that a relationship was not what they wanted, but it
was nice to have a go-to date when things like this came up. Or when you were out at a bar and that desire to take someone home hit. Therese kept those details to herself, but she’d rather owl Galvin than get drunk and end up with some random muggle.
She had been
very keen on being happy going into 1983. It seemed to be going that way, until one of Charlie Spinnet’s quidditch pals cornered her near the bar, muttering about how he’d heard how her
sessions were very rewarding. It didn't take her long to figure out what he meant, and after pressing her wand sharply into the side of his neck, she managed to get the information she needed. Charlie Spinnet was a dead man, but his
capitaine was going to suffer even more.
It was much harder to find Rupert than she had thought it would be, and Therese only caught sight of him because she spotted the large doors of the hall opening and Brookstanton slipping out. Her face was red with anger and embarrassment and she hurried out the door behind him.
"Excuse me!
Axebanger!" she snapped, her heels clicking furiously on the floor.
