Felicia :*
Kendall walked into his flat slamming the door behind him. It was only Monday and the week was already going worse than he expected. He still had two more days of his father to deal with. And after he got cornered and lectured in the locker room, Kendall wasn’t sure he was going to make it through the week.

He threw his bag on the floor and and made his way to the kitchen to get a beer. The whole reason he moved to Kenmare was to get away from his over-bearing family, and here they were encroaching on his life. Obviously the visit from his brother before Christmas wasn’t enough. He rummaged through his cabinets, not at all being concerned with the amount of noise he was making as he searched for food. He finally settled on a bag of chips, he grabbed with unnecessary force.

He startled when he turned around to see Felicia standing on the other side of the island. “Sorry. Didn’t know you were here, I thought you went home after the game.”

Felicia might not have been great at relationships, but she knew when she needed to be there for somebody -- she wasn't stupid, she was just timid when it came to some things. Kendall was making her better at that, though, and she wanted to return the favor. She knew that he'd be stressed this week about the arrival of his father, so she wanted to make sure she was ... available to him.

"I did. Got some clothes, came back here. I thought you could probably use some pizza or something."

"Oh." Kendall said feeling a bit stupid. Here he was acting like a petulant child, while his girlfriend was being incredibly considerate. "I could definitely use pizza." He leaned over the counter and gave Felicia a quick kiss.

"I'm glad you're here. I'm pretty sure its going to prevent me from putting holes in my walls."

"Well, I'm here to help. Also to eat pizza, but hey." She'd already ordered for them, and the man had assured her that it wouldn't be more than a half-hour -- which meant they had a half hour of doing other things.

She grinned, returning the kiss and then dropping her elbows onto the counter. "I really think you should start putting faces on your punching bag, though. It'll help you blow off some steam. Or we can find some other way to do that."

"I would be fine if he would just stay away." Kendall griped, completely missing Felicia's suggestive tone. "But no, now he's threatening to stay." He huffed, taking a drag of his beer. Just thinking about it got him all agitated again.

"I punched him in the locker room today. He cornered me and went on and on about a whole bunch ridiculous shit, so I punched him." he shrugged his shoulder. "I guess that makes me two for two as far as Kevin Broadmoors are concerned."

"I don't understand why he can get you so riled up. You're usually the most calm person I know." She chuckled, shaking her head and sliding over to the other side of the counter to give him a small bump with her hip.

She didn't ask if anyone had seen him punch his father, since it wouldn't be the greatest thing in the world for the papers to know about -- no need to stress him out more.

Kendall's lips quirked up in a tiny smile when she hip checked him but it didn't last very long. "I don't know. As much as I try to not be like him, he has a talent for bringing out the 'Broadmoor' in me. I guess its just... he's my dad and I'm just the extra Hufflepuff kid that hung out around the house." Kendall finished off his beer and tossed the empty bottle in the trash before turning to get another one.

As long as he'd been friends with Felicia, he was pretty sure he never actually admitted why he couldn't stand being around his father and brother so much. Pretty much anyone who remotely paid attention saw the animosity that was there, but the why behind it was a bit more personal. "I could never please him, so I left and didn't look back. And I'm fine with that, possibly even a better person for it. Right up until he or my brother pop back up to do what ever it is they think they are doing."

"It looks to me like they're trying to hog your glory," which wasn't exactly true, but she didn't know about the situation enough to say that maybe they were just trying in their own awkward way to make-up with him, "or something like that. You've just got to stick it out a little longer. Otherwise I'm going to end up punching him, and I'm pretty sure there'd be some sort of quidditch-related penalty for punching a head coach."

She was pretty positive that Axe would also flip his shit. "We -- don't have to talk about this if you don't want to, you know."

He hummed lightly as he thought over what she said. "You're probably right. With Falcons in fifth and taking cast offs from the Magpies, who wouldn't be jealous of the Kestrels."

Kendall leaned over and gave Felicia a kiss. "I know we don't have to talk about it. But I want to talk about it. I don't mind talking about it with you." He gave her a smile as he nudged her gently.

"Besides you have a knack for keeping calm. Except for when you drive me crazy."

Felicia couldn't help but snort.

"I have a knack for keeping calm off the field. Save the anger for the pitch, that's what I always say." It was -- harder than it sounded, of course, but she managed well enough doing it now that she'd had some years of practice.

"You're right, though. I really do think he's just scared you're overtaking him at such a young age."
