Edward looked down at the tray in his hands, then back to the form of his sleepy girlfriend. Breakfast could wait, he supposed. He took special care to set it down quietly on the ground and out of the way so Graciela would not see, or even worse feel inclined to wake up more than she obviously wanted to because of it. Toeing it just another inch for good measure, he then finally felt satisfied it was hidden well enough to focus back on her
"Go back to sleep," he whispered, and with a quick reach for his wand at his bedside table, flicked the window curtains closed. Edward of all people knew how hectic Graciela's life was, and with Zacharias away for her birthday weekend, Edward was looking to maintain only a maxim level of comfort, happiness and relaxation for her.

They had been officially dating for just over a year now, and he could undoubtedly say that year had been his happiest purely because of her. The thought would have made his ears burn if it wasn't the absolute truth.
Resting one hand and knee on the mattress, Edward leaned forward enough so that he could hover over her face. "Sleep," he repeated, and kissed her soundly for a moment before pulling away. He smiled again, pulling his other leg off the floor and onto the bed.
