Gleny!
He wouldn't say that he was drunk, but then again, wasn't that what all drunk people said? Vinny knew that this would be the last time he would see many of his friends for the next few weeks (months, even!) because his grand trip with Derek was soon to commence after this last official night of quidditch business. He was excited, he was eager, and he was desperate to leave England behind, even if it was only until preseason began.

His break up with Victoria had brought back a lot of memories and feelings that he had been managing through, but had not completely overcome. Vinny knew that some people were not just meant to be, but he couldn't help but feel guilty over things and hated being thought of as someone who would just---up and leave. But he couldn't handle it, he couldn't do it, and wouldn't it be cruel to lead her on than to let her go and find real happiness? Maybe it was just his way of justifying things, but the guilt remained nonetheless. His grand tour of the world was hopefully going to cure any remaining ailments he or Derek had from the war. 'Cure' as in allowing them to finally move on and get past the darkness that they both had been stuck in for so long.

Derek was off to a decent start, even though Mira was one of Victoria's close friends. He seemed to enjoy her, so Vinny had no problem when he'd lost his companion. It was of no big concern as he'd brought two dates to the event (which was a step up, as he had been ditched at New Year's by one Therese Bonaccord...). Derek was there to drink and for a last hurrah, but the lovely lady that he believed needed a happy night just as much, if not more, than he did.

"And here is your drink, milady," Vinny said in an exaggerated accent, offering Gleny her glass of pink something. "It smells of strawberries and fun."
